...Your Investment Will Last For Generations To Come!

Hand-crafted by highly skilled artisans in the U.S.A., the Homestead Collection features timbers and trim pieces that are "square sawn" for a rugged look uniquely reminiscent of the homes and furniture once found on the American frontier. This “timber-frame” style gives you the opportunity to own rustic furniture without the look of log furniture. The items in the Homestead Collection are available ready to finish, lacquered, or stained and lacquered, and are sure to compliment your rustic lifestyle!

Master craftsmen hand-craft each piece with an attentive eye toward creating a one-of-a-kind, heirloom quality item that will last for generations to come. Each piece in the Homestead Collection is created one at a time in the majestic mountains of Montana using only solid, American-grown, genuine Lodge Pole Pine and is signed by the artisan who made it.

Lodge Pole Pine is chosen for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. This Lodge Pole Pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed. Only trees that are “standing dead” (i.e. the tree has died but remains standing) are chosen for this furniture.

“Blue Pine” is created by a discoloration process that occurs as a tree dies. The most prolific form of discoloration is the varying shades of blue and gray. Often referred to as “blue pine”, these pieces exhibit unique characteristics that are highly sought after by customers and collectors alike. The varying shades and colors add not only a unique contrast to this furniture, but also an increased sense of beauty and depth and a strong rustic resonance not found in traditional furniture.

Homestead furniture is assembled using the “mortise and tenon” joinery system. Simple and strong, this method of joining multiple individual pieces into a single, rigid assembly has been used for millennia by woodworkers throughout the world. You can be confident in this method of joinery and in the quality of these products as a 20-year limited warranty is included at no additional cost.
