Juneau Drapery
Long before European settlement in the Americas, the area of Juneau, Alaska was a favorite fishing ground for local Tlingit Indians. The Tlingit name of the town is Dzántik'i Héeni ("river where the flounders gather"). After the discovery of gold in the area, a mining camp soon appeared – in fact, Juneau, Alaska is named after gold prospector Joe Juneau. The capital of Alaska since 1906, Juneau sits at sea level, directly below steep mountains towering 4,000 feet above it. Atop these mountains is the Juneau Icefield, a large ice mass from which about 30 glaciers flow.
This Juneau Drapery captures the rugged, free spirited, great outdoors attitude of its namesake and combines it with a stunning pattern of majestic moose, bear, and fir tree silhouettes to create a breathtaking window treatment. It will brighten your cabin or lodge bedroom decor for years to come.
