The skilled artisans who produce this line of furniture are masters at bringing out the best the wood has to offer. They carefully peel the bark with a drawblade, then hand sand each log to accent and showcase nature's beauty. All pieces are hand rubbed with linseed oil and beeswax sealant for a rich, natural luster.
The Plateau I series features straight rails across headboard and footboard with vertical spindles in the headboard only. These Rustic Arts Plateau I Aspen Beds are designed as sturdy corral beds to fit around a metal bed frame. Dual side rails provide support, while the lower rails hide the metal frame. All joints use time-tested mortise and tenon construction, and each hearty aspen spindle fits snugly into the stringer, creating a genuinely hand crafted look.
